I am Myrah Pennington's daughter. Velva Seese was my grandmother. I was just following up to see if you ever found the picture of your mom and my grandmother? I know my mom would be so excited to see it as would I.

I believe this may be my fiancé's family. I know there was an Oliver and an Ida in the family and there were twins. I think Oliver was his great grandfather. His grandfather Claude maybe in the picture. The family would have been from Canadensis Pa. Any way you can send a copy of this picture to my email? I can't open it here cause I don't have a full membership.

Looking for a picture of Harvey Abraham Seese, born in 1899 and died in 1973 in Manassas, Va. He was the son of Mahlon Seese and Nancy Hinegardner.

Yes, from what I have found it was spelled, Sees then changed to, Seese

Hi Sally, So sorry to put you through so much trouble if only I would have check 5 years ago I just googled in her maiden name that is how I found your message.I was wrong about the age after I sent it to you I realized it was the census you checked when she was seven.she would have been about fourteen she was born 12-14-1912 when that picture was taken . I am still going through my mother's boxes. If you can't find the picture its still nice to connect with you knowing our mom's were friends . Sincerely, Myrah

Hi Myrah,

I have been looking all over for the photo. So far no luck. I know I put them someplace I would remember where to find them. Obviously that didn't work. Sorry for the delay but honestly, I AM still looking. I don't recall that your mom was 7 at the time of the photo, she may have been a bit older, but no more than say grade school or high school age. again, sorry for the delay.

Thank You so much my children are excited about seeing a picture of their grandmother at 7 yrs old to think this has been on the internet for five years . Thanks again Sally My mother's mother died from the flu in April 1919.

I have a nice circa 1900 photo of the full Oliver P. Seese and Ida Zabriskie family. I identify the family members from the 1900 census listing. It appears to be taken in their parlor. The estimated date of 1900 comes from the visual age guess of the twin daughters.

I have attached a scan of the photo, and a pdf of the identification of the family members, to my family tree

They had a son named Christopher (born 1788 in WV)and his wife was Rachel Tucker of VA.

I am looking for some info on Samuel Seese...lived in Ohio, married a Sarah Jack, moved to WV....lived I believe Clarksburg, Shinnston areas...buried in Shinnston.

Elizabeth Seese, widow of Melhcoir Seese, Sarah, wife of Andrew Shaffer, Rebecca wife of HIram Barnes sold to Elizabeth Shaffer, widow, part of land by John Menser, Mary Seese, and Peter Grush, containing 56 1/2 acres. Warrant was made July 5, 1859 to Melcher seese who a patent was granted. ( This is Melchoir Seese Jr. whose widow was Elizabeth Helman Seese. the Heirs sold part of the tract to Elizabeth Shaffer, she was the daughter of Melchoir Jr. & Elizabeth Helman Seese and the widow of Daniel Shaffer.)

Known children Anna Maria b Sept 9, 1761 Lancaster Co., Catherina b August 26, 1763 Lancaster Co., Martin b Nov 14, 1765, Lancaster Co., Margaret b 1769 PA, Michael b 1771 PA, Christopher b Aug 12, 1776 PA and Rudolph b Oct 13, 1778. I have found records in Lancaster PA for the first 3 children, but am at a loss on the last 4 children. Have looked in both Lancaster and Westmoreland Counties, with no luck. I have found some bapt records for possible children or grandchildren of Martin, Rudolph but that’s about it.
I need help on where to look on line or where to send for possible records for marriages, births etc. for the last known 4 or possibly more children.
Would appreciate any and all suggestions
