Pittsburgh PA area - I have a copy of a Blumling Family reunion list from ~1950. Included on the list are: Mrs. Jacob Rebel (I believe her first name was Eleanora, unknown last name), her children Eleanor (Rebel) Seebacher, Ralph Rebel, and Marcellus (mistyped as "Marvellus") Rebel. Also on the list are "Mr. Edward G. Rebel" and "Joe Ann Rebel."
Relationship to these last two are unknown. Can anyone tell me how these people may have been related to the Blumling family?
Update(7 May 2013): in the 1910 Census for Ross Township (a Pittsburgh suburb), I see that Jacob & Eleanora Rebel lived next door to Joseph & Helena Weis. Helena's maiden name was Scheller, and she was the daughter of Maria Anna Blumling. Sometime after 1910, Joseph & Helena would have a daughter, Catherine (birthdate unknown). Could it be that a Rebel married "the girl next door" at some point?
Update II (20 May 2013) Another daughter of Maria Anna Blumling was Margaret Scheller - she married Emil Rebel, and it looks like they produced ~10 children. One of those children, Jacob Rebel (1883-1918) married Elenora (maiden name unknown)- that was "Mrs Jacob Rebel" on the reunion list. Jacob & Elenora had 4 kids: 2 of them, Ralph and Marcellus, are on the reunion list. Another, Elenora A. Rebel, married Sylvester Seebacher: she is on the list as Mrs. Elenor Seebacher. The fourth, Clarence Rebel, married Dolores Seebacher. Is this a case of a brother & sister (Rebels) marrying a sister and brother (Seebachers)?
