NILES - Rocco A. "Roy" Sedall, 84, 227 Youngstown Road, died at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, in Hospice House in Poland, Ohio after a lengthy illness.

He was born Aug. 7, 1926, in Warren, Ohio (trumbull County) the son of Rocco and Antonetta "Nellie" Cantelmo Sedall.

He served on the USS Ashtabula, A051 during World War II. He was trained as a mechanist while in the service and was awarded the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal (4) bronze stars, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Philippine Presidential Unit citation and a World War II Victory Ribbon.

He attended Warren Business College for business administration and accounting. Mr. Sedall entered the building trades and developed many residential and commercial properties over a span of 40 years. He was most noted for building, owning and operating the Parkview Nursing Home in Warren.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth A. LeFevre Sedall of Niles, Ohio; his children, Dr. Annette M. Burden of Niles, Rocco "Rocky" Sedall of Vienna, Gary Sedall of Niles and Cynthia Perry of Florida; and his grandchildren, Erik "Rock" Logan and Edward Rocco Burden.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Morris and Michealena Boyd; and one brother, Frank Sedall.

There will be no calling hours. Family requests that contributions be made in his name to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, OH 44514, Humility of Mary Health Partner.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road N.E., Warren,Ohio 44483, 330-394-6200.
