Classification: Query
Surnames: SEBA OVERALL BRADLEY
My ancestor Maria Julia (Overall) Bradley's first husband John S. Bradley died in Buffalo in 1852. I finally found her in the 1860 census, remarried to a James Seba from England.

The listing is:

James Seba Buffalo Ward 9, Erie, NY 36 1823 England Male
Maria Seba Buffalo Ward 9, Erie, NY 35 1824 England Female
John Seba Buffalo Ward 9, Erie, NY 10 1849 Ohio Male
Amelia Seba Buffalo Ward 9, Erie, NY 14 1845 Illinois Female
William Seba Buffalo Ward 9, Erie, NY 13 1846 England Male
Susan Seba Buffalo Ward 9, Erie, NY 12 1847 England Female
Clara Seba Buffalo Ward 9, Erie, NY 10 1849 New York Female
Elizabeth Seba Buffalo Ward 9, Erie, NY 9 1850 New York Female

The children John and Amelia are actually Bradleys and went by the Bradley name in later records. I am descended from Amelia. The rest of the children are presumably James Seba's by previous marriage(s).

The family moved from Buffalo, Erie Co., NY, to Cherrytree, Venango Co., PA, by the 1870 census. By then son William had married an Elizabeth, and daughter Clara (Seba) Wilson had moved back home with a daughter.

In 1880, they are in Oil Creek, Crawford Co., PA:
James SEBA Self M Male W 51 ENG Farmer ENG ENG
Mariah SEBA Wife M Female W 50 ENG Keeping House ENG ENG
Clara WILSON Dau W Female W 28 NY Boarding ENG ENG
Ethel WILSON GDau S Female W 7 PA At School PA NY

In the same year, 1880, James' son William shows up in Richland, Clarion Co., PA:

Seba, William, 37, oil producer, Eng, Eng, Eng.
"" Elizabeth 31, NY, Germany, Germany

By 1900, son William had remarried and was in Petersburg, Clarion Co., PA, there's this:

Seba, William E., 1847, 52, Eng., Eng., Eng., oil producer
Emm(a?) V., wife, 1868, 32
Tena E, dtr, 1885, 14
Augusta, dtr, 1886, 13
Hallie, dtr, 1888, 11
William J., son, 1890, 10
Flossie, dtr, 1892, 7
Merl B, dtr, 1898, 1

I am interested in hearing from any descendants of this Seba line.
