At this time, we are searching for the parents and birthplace of James Samuel Seales. We know very little. His parents could have spelled their name "Seale", "Seal", Seales", "Seals", etc.
Family legend has it that he was an orphan and that before he came to Panola County, MS, he came through Salsbury, TN, perhaps after a run-in with the Reconstruction authorities. He died and was buried in Panola County, MS. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Additionally, we are in possession of a good deal of history on the Seale family (i.e. "Seale and Allied Families" by Ida Carrie Seale and "The Seale Family of Old Virginia" by Deborah Sprouse) and would be happy to exchange data.
