John SEABORNE was admitted to the Inner Temple, Inns of Court in November 1598. His entry shows:

John SEABORNE, Sutton St. Nicholas, Hereford
Eldest son of John Seaborne, of Sutton; Steward of the King's Manor of Marden, in Herefordshire. "Prosecuted and fined as a Popish Recusant."

Sir Oliver MANNERS and William TRESHAM, of Rushton, two other members of his class at the Inner Temple were from recusant families and were each implicated in the Gunpowder Plot (1605).
