From the Youngstown Evening Vindicator, Monday, 6/1/1891 (Youngstown, OH):

"Died at the Hospital"

"Frank Scoville Succombs to his injuries -- His father forsakes him."

Frank Scoville, who was injured on the P. & W. near Girard last week, died Saturday night at 12 o'clock at the city hospital. He was buried at 4 o'clock this afternoon in Oak Hill cemetery, the funeral being in charge of the infirmary directors. The father of the young man arrived in the city a day after the accident occurred, from Maysville, Pa., and returned on Saturday night. He was told before his departure that his son could not possibly recover, but he declared that he was in straightened circumstances and could not bear the funeral expenses. The deceased acted very strangely and is thought that he was slightly demented. At a post mortem examincation a quart of water was found on the left side of the brain.
