Hi Rebecca, I apologize for not responding to your message earlier. I have almost given up on Hiram. Unfortunately I do not think that your Hiram N Scoville is mine. He did not have a wife named Elizabeth, nor a son named Wm. Randolf. I have done a lot of research on the Scovil name spelled many ways and have found other Hirams and also Hiram N. but none match my g grandfather. The last time I was in Salt Lake City I worked with 2 researchers for a couple of hours and they found nothing I didn't already have. They told me there was no reasonable possibility that I would find his father and suggested I give up. I don't want to do that, so I have posted my information again.
Thank you for your interest. I wish it could have been the right one. There are a lot of Scovilles out there and I believe someone knows something. I just have to keep looking.
