My Great Grandfather, Charles Cuthbert Scott, b. 1877-d. 1945 (a veteran of the Spanish American War) was said (by my Grandmother) to be a descendant of General Winfield Scott. My Grandmother told us her father was was originally from Petersburg, VA although he met my Great Grandmother Jesse Geasey Scott in Muncy PA where he is buried. My Grandmother's Bible says he had two brothers, Richard and Cuthbert; and three sisters, Vira, Annie, and Rhea -- all from Petersburg. Unfortunately the Bible does not go back any further. I'd appreciate any help connecting this family to General Winfield Scott. Please let me know if anyone has any of these people. -- Scott Frey
