Death of A L Sclater
Yesterday afternoon at his home in this city, died Mr A L Sclater, in the forty-ninth year of his age. Mr Sclater was ill during the entire winter and took to his bed again about six weeks ago. He was a native of Mobile and for the past seventeen years has been a bookkeeper for F C Turner & Co, by whom he was highly esteemed. He was an Odd Fellow, being a member of Alabama Lodge, and was an old volunteer fireman and a member of the Veteran Fireman's Association. He leaves a wife, one child, a sister, Miss Anna May Sclater, besides a number of other relatives. He had a large circle of friends and was highly esteemed by all who knew him.
Funeral Notices
Sclater - Died, May 29, 1905, at the family residence, 37 South Ann Street, Arthur Lee Sclater, in the 46th year of his age.
The friends of the family are requested to attend his funeral from the Government Street Methodist Church, this (Tuesday) afternoon at 5 o'clock. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery.
