Hi Steve,

I to am researching the Schulze family tree and I havent been able to prove it yet but there is apparently a Valentin in my family tree. If correct Valentin (1661) was 1 of 5 children of Heinrich (1623) Schulze. Valentin had 4x children Heinrich & 3x Johann's S, J & N. Johann S ha6 7x children.

If you check this i would be interested if any of this matches.

my side of the family emigrated from Germany ~1900 to South Australia

If there is a link, it might help going back a few more generations - If you do find out who the parents were, let us know.
Cheers, Andrew.

Hi, I'm Linda.
My great grandmother is Mary Schulze believed to have been born in Germany.
Her husband is Waldemar Schickerinsky. This may not even be his surname as he might have been Mary Schulze's 2nd husband. What I do know is that Waldemar and Mary were present at the marriage of their daughter Annie Schickerinsky to John Christ whose father is Henry (Heinrich or Heinze) Christ. Henry was from Germany and am not sure if John was born in USA or Germany.
The marriage date is January 4th but am not certain of the year.
The wedding took place on Manhattan Island, NY, about 1920.
Their first son, William was born in about 1891. Their second son is Herbert George Christ.
I do not even know the state they lived in or where they are buried.
German records seem to me to be sketchy as some of the Schulze's might have been Nazi's.
The Schulze surname is like Smith or Jones in the USA. Why people keep perpetuating those surnames that are so numerous is crazy. I much prefer more original and less common names like Schickerinsky. I found only one family with this name in Berlin, Germany.
Guess if I really want to find my great grandparents I'll have to hire an expert.
Linda

They emigrated from Saxony to Australia during the 1870s and 1880s, but some of their relatives may have emigrated to America.
Related names were Engelhaus, Fricke, Gropler, Quindt, Stranz, Wulsch and Ziem.
I'd be pleased to hear from anyone with ancestors, with these names, from Tucheim or Paplitz.
Nel

From the list at start of thread - my GF is Paul Robert Schulze, there are a few other family members that we have lost contact with over time, so it would be good if you can fill in which branch your husband comes from.

Much appreciated,

Andrew
Doris, My name is Ingrid Hedwig Sachse Roncali. I came across this and I'm very curios if you are the Doris that we have been searching for. Everything you wrote fits. So can I ask you what your grandparents that raise you names were. If you are our Doris you have 3 sibling in the US that are looking for you
my e-mail address californiakraut@yahoo.com

hey- "akschulze" i cant prove it yet on paper but my grandma was a genealogist and she looked up my name (she was from my mothers side) and she found schulze's in frankfurt germany as far back as the 1600's. my grandfather was born in frankfurt, and came here to escape wwII - she also said that there was many german jewish people with the name as well as german christian people . this caused problems for many of them from what i was told. she has passed since giving us this info but my mother swears she can find her papers and records and has been trying- key name to search would be "stash schulze" that was the name of our oldest found relative dating back to 1600's. hope i was a little help. good luck, your welcome to contact me if questions. thanks

I'm sorry to say that thus far I haven't come across any of the lines you've mentioned but wish you good luck. I'm having a dickens of a time following my dad's line and I've been at it since 1973! Still, I'm not ready to throw in the towel. Make it a good day!

Thank you for your response. I'm planning on researching LaSalle County again (have dabbled before) when I return from Iowa week after next.
My father's name was LaVern William Schulze born 27 Feb 1911 Ottawa, IL, his father was Fred George Schulze born 8 Jul 1890 in Ottawa and the oldest name I have is Fredrick A. Schulze b 13 Oct 1852 Berlin, Germany. His wife's name was Augusta Nendolph or Neindorf and they were married 7 Jan 1874. I'd love to follow up with you on this when I return. Hope to be able to help one another. Paula
