Looking for information on my husbands great grandparents; Micheal Schmidt and Cathrino Schmidl. Micheal Schmidt was born Dec. 26, 1853 in Lohan, Germany. He immigrated to US in 1871, supposedly with his 2 brothers. I don't have their names. He married Cathrino Schimdl in Richmond, Iowa Feb. 19, 1877. He died July 30, 1922 in a Wichita, KS hospital. He was living in the Newkirk, OK area at that time. Cathrino was born Jan. 13, 1856 in Germany. She died in a Sanitarium in Dubuque, Iowa April 22, 1924. Their children were: Victor born 1878 in Iowa, died 1924, married Minnie Volegale, April 24, 1912. Edward born 1878 in Iowa, died 1959, married Catherine Theresa Eck Dec. 23, 1933 Newkirk, OK. Oscar (my husbands grandfather) born May 5, 1886, KS, died March 29, 1969 Oklahoma, married Matilda Eck, Oct. 27, 1919, Newkirk, OK. Frances Louise born 1890 Kansas, died 1970, married Joseph Eck. 3 Schmidt siblings married 3 Eck siblings. Any ideas of where I should I can find more information?
