I just read your message and my husband's family are Schlachta's. Franz and Erich came to United States. Siegfried was shot down in Germany fighting for Germany during WWII. And helmut was taken prisoner and held in prison camp in Texas during the war. We are at a deadend finding their parents as the children were sent to work on farm when they were in their teens. Jakob was supposedly their fathers name and Regina Dolinga mother ? Any help ???

SCHLACHTA

My great-grandmother was Maria Schlachta Raab b. in a tiny town named somehing like "Knessener." Her mother was Marie ? and her father was Andrew Schlachta. She was one of 12 children. Teresa, John and Ludmilla all came to Philadelphia, PA. Their sister, Lena died in Hungary. Maria Schlachta Raab never came to the USA and I do not know the names of the other siblings. They were all born in the 1870's and 1880's.
