Hello, I've researched my Schaal line since 1979, and I do not have anyone in my part of the line that settled in Wisconsin. If this helps you, my line came from Hofherrnweiler, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. My Great-grandfather, Johann Melchior SCHAAL (Born 1846), and two sisters, Maria Ursula Dorothea ALBRECHT (BORN: 1827)- her Mother, Maria Ursula (nee OSTERTAG) SCHAAL was not married to, and did not marry Maria's father, Kaspar ALBRECHT, but her husband, Franz Jakob SCHAAL raised Maria Ursula Dorothea as his own, and she is seen in some documents with the surname, Schaal, instead of Albrecht;also, she married Joseph ABELE, a pioneer undertaker in Toledo, Lucas Couny, Ohio, USA]; and Christiana SCHAAL Achinger (Born 1847) immigrated to Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio, USA and lived out the rest of their lives there. Whether any of their other 7 siblings immigrated elsewhere, I do not know. Happy Hunting. JAS/Ohio/USA
