Hi No Matter How Few

I am tracing the Scace Family and there appears to be very very few of us.
Edgar b. 26 Jul 1818, Suffolk England migrates to the USA meets Anna b abt 1823 from NY They have a son Frank in Wisconsin who marries Lillie Buser
from Wisconsin. Their daughter Jennie b abt 1887 marries William Rapalee in Wisconsin and move to South Dakota.

Can any one help me with the maiden name of Anna b. 1823 in NY???

Thanks Steve North (Australia)

Steve,
The IGI has an marriage of Edgar Scace to Anna Shannon on Jan 31, 1849 at the Protestant Reformed Dutch Church in Niskayuna, Schenectady, NY. This may be a second marriage for Edgar as several children had been born from 1838 to 1846.

Let me know if you think this is correct.

Regards,
Carl

Hi Carl

I think your right. Good observation. It looks like he and his first wife may have had 4 children. 1839,1840,1842,1846 and Margaret was his first with Anna Shannon. Thanks for your help

Steve

I have a very extensive scace family geneology (1523-2005) and is is continually being updated by our family geneologist. In it are the people you are looking for. Edgar was his middle name, Willaim Edgar Scace 1818-1899 and Ann Shannon 1823-1900 is his second wife. His first wife was Julia Trowbridge 1820-1848. Edgar and Ann's son Frank 1856-1927 married Lillian Mae Buser 1861-1943. Their daughter Jennie 1885-1969 married W. Norman Rapalee (d. 1967) If you want more info you can contact me at gwojo@rnetworx.com

Hi Gail

You certainly have more information than I do on the Scace/Rapalee Families. I am searching for the granddaughter of William Rapalee and Jennie Scace and have suggested that she contact you for more information. Thank you so much for your help. I have been away for a few days of trout fishing and could not reply. I am so proud that I caught a fish because I am not a fisher person that I have included a photo.

nice fish. Our family geneologist has spent more than 40 years working on the family history. She has made a book and has even included stories and letters from family members of Edgar and Ann Shannon Scace, Dr Lee Scace, son of Frank and Lillian Buser Scace, and his brother Fay and I even have a picture of Jennie Buser & Jennie Scace
per page
