Looking for anyone with connections to the Liborio Scaccia family who came from Alia, Italy in 1900 (pos. 1898) and were in New Orleans.

Liborio (Leon) Scaccia b. ca. 1860-63, d. prob. 23 Sept 1918
Francis Panepinto Scaccia b. ca. 1865, d. 1970's?
Frank Scaccia b. ca. 1888, pos d. 31 Oct 1918
pos. m. Francesca Riscici, 14 June 1916
Josephine Scaccia b. ca. 1891. m. Anthony Romano
Catherine? Scaccia b. ca. 1892
Jossette?? Scaccia b. ca. 1894
Lilly Scaccia b. ca. 1897
Mary Scaccia b. ca. 1905

Names are from 1910 census. Could be more children. In 1905, Francis' brother Salvadore (Sam) Panepinto (Pinto), his wife Palao (Paula) Marano and son Pietro (Peter) came to US and had Libario Scaccio listed with address 3819 Laurel Street. The Pinto family was not living with them in 1910 but was living with Francis Scaccia in 1920. Francis Scaccia was then living with Anthony and Josephine Romano in 1930.

I found the Scaccia family's immigration records. The entered the US into Ellis Island on 1 May 1898 on the Hesperia from Naples.

Liborio Scaccia, m, 38,m, Italian, Alia
Rosolino Scaccia, m, 9,s,Italian, Alia
Calogera Scaccia, f, 6,s, Italian, Alia
Giulia Scaccia, f, 4, s, Italian, Alia
Rosalia Scaccia, f, 9m, s, Italian, Alia
Francesca Panepinto, f, 33, m, Italian, Alia

I do not know at this time if they stayed in New York or went immediately down to New Orleans. From the looks of things, the children listed on the 1910 census were the only children.

Mary,
Ithink I have emailed you before, not sure. I had an ancestor named Gandolfa Panepinto who married an Antonio Scaccia in 1706 in Valledolmo which is close to Alia, also there was a Agostino Panepinto who married a Vincenza La Scacciaalso in 1706 Hope this is of some use to you.

I have a connection to a Liborio Scaccia who married an Anna Longo. But I am not aware of any ties to New Orleans. Liborio was the son of Joseph and Barbara Scaccia.

The Liborio Scaccia here, as far as I know, only married once. If naming patterns hold, he is probably the son of Rosolino and Giuseppine Scaccia. Liborio and Frances had only one son, Rosolino, who did apparently marry, but apparently died shortly after, leaving no children.

My great grandmother was Rosalia Scaccia, she married Calogero SanGiorgio. My grandfather was Gaspare Sangiorgio (Jasper St.George. Do you think this would be connected to anyone on your tree.
I would love to have more info on the Scaccia's. If anyone has any info to share I would appreciate it.
Please contact me : mrscptmtd@aol.com

Thanks!
