I am certain there is a relationship here. My ex-husband's great grandmother was Maria Rose Sbrocchi from Roseto, Italy. She married a Falconi. The family story is that her mother was killed by lightning and she was brought to this country by her father and raised in an orphanage in Louisville, Ky.
I am aware that the grandparents used to go to Chicago for funerals. maria Rose's father (Phillip) was an Italian ambassador and went to Australia where he died at age 99.

Hi
I am the great grandaughter of Phillip Steven Sbrocchi of Roseto Valfortore Italy, who came to USA around 1897 with sons John, Antonio and daughter Rosa. He entered the country through Boston of Ellis Island possibly as Joseph Sbrocchi. His stay on the east coast was not long and they moved across America towards California, stopping at Pennysylvania where Rosa stayed and became Mrs. Falconer. Antonio settled in California and John and his father moved to Vancouver in 1902. Here he married Angela Patrissi and then moved to Australia. As your name is similar to Falconer could you be the decendants of Rose. Thank You for your reply

Hello Nell,

I have some information about the Rosaria Cacciacarro...her brother Saverio was my maternal great-grandmother Teresa Menecola's third husband. In addition, Rosaria's sister Maria Rosa Cacciacarro was married to Giuseppi Rinaldi. Giuseppi was a brother to my paternal great grandfather Pietro this making him my great-uncle and Maria Rosa my great-aunt.
