My Father was John H. Sayers born 1924, his father was Edward Sayers, born in Albany NY 1893, his father was John (Jake) Sayers b. 1866, son of Andrew J. Sayers b. around 1843 Co Kerry Ireland. Andrews Father was John Sayers. Does anyone konw where Andrews Father John was born and the year?

I am also looking for birthplace of Andrew J. Sayers b. Kerry Co 1843. His father was John Sayers, also from Kerry County.
Andrew came to the US prior to 1870. He married Mary Herlihy and later and had several children. Wow! Didn't expect to find this on the message boards! We are both half-distant cousins! My mother is the daughter of Andrew Sayers son of John "Jake" Sayers. Where did you get your info that Andrew Sayers was the son of John Sayers? Do you have any information on Mary Herlihy as well? I see this was posted back in 2003 so I hope you are still active with Ancestry and perhaps found your questions about the Sayers Family?
I am also interested in your family history to fill out some of John Jake Sayers story. One source I have had John's First wife and your great-grandmother as Mary McManus but I can't find any further back ground.
do have a copy of Andrew Sayers Sr. Naturalization papers. Also, some items about Jake Sayers and his Sons. Jake Sayers was definitely a interesting man!
