Looking for family and relatives of my great grandfather Antonio Sayas born in Puerto Rico mid to late 1800s. He is known to have had four sons that were also born in PR and later immigrated to Hawaii in early 1900s. Sons were believed to be Manuel, Miguel, Jose (Joseph)and Juan (John or Johnny) Sayas. It is unknown who Antonio married or when he died or from what province he's from.
What is known of my grand father, Manuel, is from my grand mother and his social security application. On it, he puts "Waianija" as place of birth. But I could not find any such province in PR, which lead me to be its Waianae, a town on Oahu. My grand father never married my grand mother or if he later married someone else. Manuel died in 1962 in Honolulu.
There are cousins of my father, John, that are known to have reside in Hawaii, one of which is Johnny Sayas who was employed by either Dole or Del Monte Pineapple in 1970s.
If any of this sounds familiar, help me fill in the pieces of my missing ancestors. Reply to this message and we'll get in contact. And remember, we are all brothers in Our Lord, Jesus Christ.
