Surnames: Sarafin, Serafin, Szarafin
I'm looking for relatives of my gr grandfather. His name was Michal Sarafin and he was living in Heinzdorf, Germany before leaving for America. Date of arrival was August 9, 1910, at the age of 21. The ship he traveled on was the Ryndam and the port of departure was Rotterdam, South Holland, The Netherlands. His name may have been spelled Serafin when he arrived and it was changed to an Americanized version.

He was born around 1889 in the village of Wola Rusinowska, County of Kolbuszowa or Majdanie Krolewskim, Province of Rzeszow, Poland, which at that time was under Austrian control. He had one sister Rosalia and about 9 half brothers and half sisters.

After arriving in the U.S. he moved to Wisconsin, settling in Lublin then moving to Thorp. From what I have been told some of his half brothers also came to the U.S. and settled in either Pennsylvania or New York.

Unfortunately this all I have. Can anyone help me. Thank you.
