My grandfather is Husnija Sarac and his father name is Mehmed. Husnija had brother who left country before many years... I try to find Zihnija, but it was really hard to find him because of dam war, and we think he changed his name. All that you write is true... I am sure that my grand father and Zihnija are brothers. So I want that we are in contact... and hope we will meet soon... :)

She is now married and lives in a different part of California. her e-mail is: katzxtc2005@gmail.com if you have any news. Unfortunately, I know very little Croatian so I have NOT had much success these four years.
Dobro,
Veronica

It has been a very long time, Robin.
Do you know anymore about Petar Sarac' ?
His mothers name was Sipa (Aliskovic) Sarac' and Zihnija's fathers name was Mehmed Sarac'.
They lived in Zenica, Bosnia but since the war in the 1990's a lot of people fled and never returned to their place of birth like in previous years. Dam wars!
Have you found any of your relatives?
Lets keep in touch more often. For health reasons, I need to find Zihnija's death certificate with cause of death.
Unfortunately they are filed by county and his being a mover; he could have died anywhere.
Challenges, Challenges.....
Hope your Spring finds you well.
Please tell me a little bit more about your ancestor Petar Sarac'.
Katrina

Hello Havla....
I am so excited that you replied to my post. Unfortunately it has been a long time.
I don't think anyone from the Sarac' family like Petar or his sister lived in Turkey. A lot of people during the war during the 1990's in Bosnia moved around and never settled back in the Zenica area of birth near Sarajevo.
It would be lovely if you can make a connection somehow!
Thanks for sharing.
Katrina

Because he is deceased now, I am desperate to find my daughter's Aunt, Uncles and cousins. Zihnija's father and mother, Sifa nee Aliskovic, are deceased as well. So you are one of my hopes. He worked in Planinski Puk as a soldier,1958-1960, and for Rudnik Mrkote Oblja in Kakanj, Yugoslavia as a miner from 1950 - 1958. He lived at Hotel Central in Kopar at one time. He was born in Zenica. His father was Mehmed or Mehmet Sarac.
Please reply yedan way or the other.
Dobro Chovek, Dobro Radite! Kako Radite?
Searching for Piltz, Pilz or Frank/Franc

My greatgrandmother was Theresia Piltz or Pilz. She married Franz Josef Frank or Franc and lived in Ohio. Theresia Pilz or Piltz came over from Germany on the La Bretagne in 1907. My grandmother was Theresa Frank born in Feb. 1909 and married George J. Sarac. I am searching for information on the Piltz or Pilz family or my greatgrandfather's family, the Frank's or Franc's. My great grandparents lived in Akron and so did my grandparents. I have a 1930 census report showing this. Can't find info on Piltz or Pilz or Frank/Franc.
