Do you know anything about this Emily Salter's husband who presumably died before this 1901 census record:
Emily Salter 31 London Newington London Camberwell Living On Own Mean
In 1881 my great-grandaunt Emily was 11 and this is her entry in the census:
Relation Daur Emily CHAMBERS Household Female
Other Information: Birth Year <1870> Birthplace Walworth Rd, Surrey, England Age 11 Occupation Scholar Marital Status Head of Household George CHAMBERS Relation Daur Having dearched the 1901 many times, it seems she became a Salter since my great-Grandmother was raised by her Salter Aunt & Uncle alongside 3 male cousins that this is her,
Using my mother's account the Salters were related and something to do with an actress on the London stage by the stage name Slater comes in. I am searching my CHAMBERS roots and believe her (and Mr Salter's) descendants might hold records and information.
Many Thanks Adam
