I am descended from James Salsbury (1794 - 1868) of Portsmouth, Scioto, Ohio. I have found most of the family from James on down, but am here is my current "missing persons" report :)

1. William Salsbury (Salisbury/Salsberry) was living in Alexandria, Adams, OH in 1799. Died in or around Portsmouth, Scioto, OH abt. 1806. William was the father of James and apart from what I have listed, I have no other information on William or his unknown wife. In addition to James, William had another son, William who was born abt. 1792 and a daughter Nancy who's birth date is unknown

2. Moses Thompson Salsbury
Moses Thompson Salsbury was the son of William and Julia (Thompson) Salsbury and was born in Portsmouth, Scioto, OH abt. 1854. Moses' father, William (son of the James listed above) was born in Portsmouth in 1820 and died in 1854. Moses and his sister, Mary, were made the guardians of their Aunt, Amanda (Thompson) Pursell. Sometime in the 1860's Moses went with his mother to Minnesota. He worked at a hotel and a saloon in Minneapolis in the 1870's and 1880's, but after that, he and his family completely disappear. He married a woman named Althea who was born in MN in 1859 and they had a daughter named Julia who was born in 1870 in MN.

3. Descendants of John Wright Salsbury
John Wright Salsbury was born in West Liberty, Logan, OH September 28, 1851 to James & Maria (Kendall) Salsbury. He married Addie B. Burt in Portsmouth and then he and his family moved to Tampa, Hillsborough, FL where he died in the 1930's. Would love to make contact with any of his descendants. I know his son Louis lived in Tampa as well.

4. Descendants of Murtaugh Kehoe Salsbury
I had made contact a few years back, but when I recently tried to send an e-mail, the e-mail address is now bad.
