CANFIELD –Barbara H. “Coolie” Pollock, 92, formerly of Youngstown, Ohio and Canfield, who died at Assumption Village on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014.
Mrs. Pollock was born on Sept. 4, 1921, a daughter of Dominic and Barbara Maletic Saganich. She was employed at the Mazda Lamp and Republic Rubber Works.
Barbara was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church and the ladies association. Coolie was also a pirohi worker.
Family and friends will remember her for helping those in need and for her wonderful personality. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Leonard) Leenheer of Parma, Ohio and Susan (James) Nell of Canfield, OH; grandchildren, Daniel (Lindsay) Brott of Columbus, Ohio, Gregory Brott of Canfield, Brian Leenheer of Beavercreek, Ohio, fiancé Samantha Dieschbourg of Glenview, Ill., Mark Leenheer of Parma, Ohio and James Nell II of Canfield; a great-granddaughter, Vivienne Brott of Columbus; and her sister, Dorothy Ferguson of Canfield. Barbara also leaves many nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Pollock, whom she married on Feb. 27, 1954, and entered into rest on June 15, 1993; a sister, Johanna Cherney; and twin brothers, Dominic and John Saganich.
The family would like to extend great thanks to the staff at The Assumption Village for their love and daily care that they gave her.

The Pollock family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home, where they will receive family and friends, Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m., with a Parastas prayer service at 3:45 p.m.
A Panachida service will be held at 9:15 a.m. at the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home, followed by a Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church.
