Saar's in Pennsylvania

Have seen Saar postings all over genealogy sites for a couple of years now. I have been holding off on the Saar research side of my family till I had everyone else done. So far so good. But now I am down to the last couple of 'branches'. This one is going to be my biggest headache yet.
I have been able to locate my 'Saar" branch on the 1930 census from Lake Ariel, Wayne County, Pennsylvania but cannot locate them any further backwards. I have a few names of family members and I dont' think they strayed too far from the Scranton area. There are two Saar families in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area. One has been there for a while and the other emigrated here in 1883. That is mine, the 1883 one. William F. Saar and Bertha Behrendt both immigrated in 1883 as children with their families. I can find Bertha without much problem. She arrived on the SS Elbe in 1883, but cannot find William F. Saar. I have tried to find ships that arrived in 1883 with Saars on them, but am not finding any luck. Am I not looking in the right place? Can anyone give me some guidance? I also noticed that William F. and Bertha are listed as "Nat." on the 1930 census. So they were naturalized sometime between 1883-1930. Thanks Lynnette Saar
