We were neighbors of George Van Saake and his father in Palmdale. My mother helped care for his father, a very sweet elderly gentleman. I was a child and didn't know either one more than to exchange the usual conversation one would expect. I also have one of his paintings and have wondered about the value. We didn't have much contact with him after his father passed on and George began seeing Rose so there's not much to tell. His house was fascinating, full of unusual artifacts from all around the world and photos of himself with famous people.
