In noticing your note about George Van Saake I realize where his works went when He died. I wish I had more of them.
My family were good friends with him. I spent many evenings visiting his home in the hills near palmdale. I grew up in Lancaster. My father was a guard at the prison when I was starting school and later managed Pioneer lincoln Murcury on Sierra Hwy. in the 60's
George was an extreemly interesting and accomplished pianist, painter and world traveler.
Did you know him well and document any of his life and travels. They were extroadanary stories he used to tell me.
I was only 12 at the time. He wanted my father to travel and get his paintings into gallery shows for sell.
