I am researching the Süssmann family from Liegnitz and Breslau. My grandmother, Elisabeth Eva Süssmann married Martin Krieg in 1919 and moved to Australia in 1938. Her father was Heinrich Simon Süssmann, who married Emma Altmann. Elisabeth was of Jewish descent and born in 1895.

Hi!
I think I wrote to you yesterday.
I'm from Ecuador in South America and I'm trying to look for my ancestors.
My great grandfather was from Seiferdau, Breslau, his name was Edmund Adolf Süssman, born in November 20 of 1868, his mother's last name was Checquer. I don't know her name.
My grandma is still alive (89 years old), her name is Mina Süssmann and she is Ecuadorian. She has a younger sister called María Agustina Süssmann, but we call her Ina. They are the only two children that are still alive.
They don't know too much about their father because he never talked about himself or his life in German. We suposse he lived in Colombia before he came to Ecuador, because they say he always talked about a place called El Chocó, that is in Colombia.
We also know that he was "old" (43) when he had his first daughter,.
His life is a complete mistery, they say he was hiding of somebody. We think maybe he was Jewish or maybe he did something wrong. My grandma says he was Catholic and also that he has a younger sister in Germany that was a nun.
I would like you to tell me about your Süssmann family, maybe we are family too.
Bye
Susana
