Hi, there, I stumbled into your query doing a genealogy search and here is some interesting info for you. I have records relating to Marianna Rzepka of Przysietnica(not sure of the date, but this is early 1800's). She married Marcin Ora. Together, they had Wawrzyniec Ora, who married Anna Czaja. W and A Ora had Michal Ora (my great grandfather), who emmigrated to the US in the early 1900's and married Helena Jakieta (also from Poland). They had my grandfather, Walter Ora, who married Phyllis Narloch. They had my father, Mel Ora, who married Terry Zink and they had ME! Brandy Ora McClarin. I married Ron McClarin and we have Macy and Lily. If any of this means anything to ya, I'm happy to fill in further details and would LOVE any details you have of the descendents or ancestors of Marianna Rzepka!!!

I'm researching this Rzepka ancestry for my husband, Stanley Repko. Stanislaw Rzepka, born in 1893, is his great-uncle who lived in New Castle, PA. I'm especially looking for any info on Michal Rzepka, born in Poland, the father of Stanislaw Rzepka. Stanislaw's brother Jan (John) was my father-in-law's father. I'm looking for the maiden name of John's wife, Catherine as well, my husband's grandmother. My husband is descended from the Johnstown Repko family, who were originally Rzepka of Poland.

I've been informed I have the wrong Rzepka, unfortunately. My husband is not related to Stanislaw Rzepka, born in 1893. I do know my husband's grandfather was John Rzepka of Poland, who settled in Johnstown, PA and married Catherine (don't know her maiden name). They changed the surname to Repko sometime in the 40's or early 50's when my husband's family moved to Pittsburgh. Catherine was born in 1907 and died 1979. I believe John was born in 1885 and died in 1960. Their son Stanley John Repko is my husband Stanley's father. I'm looking for their Polish ancestors. John Rzepka's original name may be Jan and may have originated from Southern Poland, possibly Przysietnica. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Were your Rzepkas Jewish? I have Rzepkas in my tree from both Rozan. Krasnosielc and Przanysz Poland.
