I do not know of an Ed in my family. My father's name is Francis (Frank) Rzeczycki. He had a brother Al and who had a wife Gina, and a son Carlos. Their mother I only knew as Tilly but I think it was short for Matilda. I know that she had at least one sister who I think was named Sofi. My father does not speak to me so I don't know much about the family, although I'm sure there are more members I'm unaware of. I too am always looking for more family.

I don't think i've heard any of the names you listed. I have an obituray and it's all in polish so they might be in there? I'm not sure. I need to work on the translation.

Franks brother was Alexander who died in 1958 in Orange County California, to which his wife, Virgina and her two sons, Carlos (Alex Jr) and a younger brother live currently. They live in Huntington Beach and are listed. I warn you, bad luck comes to going to these people. Be careful for your sake

My father is Frank, his brother who you spoke of killed himself. I have had some limited contact with them to find out further information about my Grandmother Rzeczycki's family. My father does not speak to me, so I cannot get information from him.

HELP! PLease, ANY leads!!!!!!!

I have not seen any possible spellings of a name for my great great grandmother. Either its her maiden name, or it is her name by a first marriage, I am very interested in exploring ideas, to help me solve the genealogy link for her. heres what I know.
She married my great great grandfather Andreas WIESE dob Aug 1852.
Her name is Antonette (Raeski, Ryeski, Disko) WIESE and we have a few oral differences here...
she is listed alternately as Raeska, Ryeski, and evn at one point Disko. here's what I think. See if any of this connects, or gives you ideas you would like to pass along.
Family history has it, she was first maried to as my grandmother said in her notes
"a big shot in the army" (Kaisers), I think this would be the Rzeczycki name, mispelled. She was born Aug 1852. She is also supposed to have had a mother "Glier Ditchowski. or Dystchowski, she is listed on one form here in the US as "Disko" hence my thinking the family name Dystchowski as a maiden name.....
she listed her name under "name of mother prior to marriage" as Raeska, on her 1st sons birth certificate. less than a year after immegrating to the US, arriving in NY, ending up in Milwaukee, Wisc. on 4 May 1881, aboard the SS Lessing. She also supposed to have a young daughter with her at that (1881) time of approximately 4 years og age, know only as "Lene", possibly from her first marriage. Oral history also tells us she had a sister named Flavia that became a nun. Listed names for Flavia are Dorszynski, or Dersinksi. This being a possible married name , and subsequent entry into the convent, (husband deceased?) some real stretches here, just have to explain the possibles, and inquire if anything might match up with any know names in your research. Andreas WIESE supposedly grew up in Berlin, also had sisters named Sophie, and Bergita, a possible Gorge In Australia, and perhaps another brother in Montreal. He lists Prussia as origen for both He and Antonie. IF you have ANY possible leads would you be so kind as to pass them along? I am at a dead end here with her....possible other areas ere Schleswig-Holstein area, tho thats a real stretch due to a possible alternate family tie, not necessarily anything that would apply to Antonette, or Flavia....
Again, thanks for your time, please respond with anything you might care to share. Post here AND email me at

Hi there
I live in Europe and have recently visited HB with my friend. While we were there she met a guy called Alex Rzeczycki (about mid 30's) who charmed her quite a bit and when we came back to UK he carried on charming her on email and phone. I've got loads of concerns about this guy, expecially after reading your entry on this site and I want to know more. I don't know him and i'm worried about my mate getting too involved and getting hurt. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jayneycam
