My brother, James, and I were looking at your posted message. He is named for his father, James, and is wondering if we are related. James Patrick Rynne is our father and the only child of Patrick and Norine. If you think we might be related we would like to reconnect with your half of the family. We recently heard from others that Kevin Rynne, from Massachusetts, formerly a teacher at Georgetown University is related to this branch of the family. This contact was made through Facebook. Perhaps there might be more leads in the social networks.

Rynnes in Lowell MA

Austin Rynne was born in Ireland AUG 1858, emigrated to Lowell MA c 1890, worked for the street department, died 6 MAR 1925, is buried next to his relative, probably a cousin, John J Conneely in St. Patrick's cemetery, Lowell MA. It seems he never married.

John J Conneely was born in Registration District Enistymon, Co. Clare, Ireland and his mother was Nora (Honor) Rynne, father Michael.

Austin was survived in Ireland by a brother Michael and sister Bridget W. Qualey.

I am seeking information about the Rynnes and the Conneelys. Please respond if you have any information.
Clare in Ireland and relations still live there.
If you want to know more Please contact paticacanbe@hotmail.co.uk

I am looking into the Rynne family, too.

You know Patrick shows with Norine in the 1920 census? If you can get his marriage and death certificate they might show his parents' names. His obit may show relatives, too.

My ggf John Conneely's mother was Nora (Honor) Rynne (m Michael Conneely) and he landed in Lowell MA about 1885 and died there in 1939.

Austin Rynne, bachelor, lived nearby, died in 1925 and is buried in the Conneely plot with John. I presume he is a relative, perhaps a cousin.

Michael Rynne was one of John's pallbearers. I believe he lived near John and was possibly a cousin.

I found two female Rynnes in Lowell, Middlesex County MA census.

MARY 21	1900
KATHRINE 78	1920

Of course the sister you mention could be under a married name.

Good luck
Patrick Rynne - looking for information

My great grandfather is Patrick Rynne born in Co. Clare, Ireland - most likely in Lisdoonvarna.

By 1920 he had married Norine (Nora) Hession and lived in Chicago, IL, where he remained until his death in 1971. They had one son, James Patrick Rynne, a physician who died very young in 1954, and who is my grandfather.

I believe Patrick came through Boston, MA around 1904, possibly to stay with a sister in Lowell, MA. I also think that by 1917 he was living in Detroit Michigan.

Because their son (my grandfather) died young, and was an only child, there was not much information left on that side of the family.

Does any of this sound familiar to anyone? Any lead will help! Much appreciated.

Michael

Bridget, I believe you are referring to my great-uncle Willy, meaning you are my father's first cousin. I have some more details of the family (but not to hand at the moment). Please reply.

I am a descendant of Darby Rynne born May 1844 in Co.Clare. Parents John Rynne and Ellen Fitzpatrick. Related to Rynnes at Cloonanaha. Darby migrated to Australia approx 1860's. He had a brother John and a sister Ellen (married Bermingham) also in Australia. Any help greatly appreciated.
