It's been awhile since I've checked these message boards. Sorry. I don't know if there is a connection or not because I don't have a DOB for my gr-gr grandfather George whose Father was John (Johan). I think grgrgr Grandfather John was born 07/10/1784, but have not been able to varify. I can hopefully get some more information from my great Aunt (age 93 depending on how good her memory is). Someday I'll get this all figured out. Yeah right. Thanks for replying. Dar

I'm looking for Sheinberg families from Slutsk, Belarus. Before 1795 Belarus belonged to Poland. Did your ancestors mention Belarus?

My Scheinberg ancestors were from Slutsk, Belarus.

Surnames: Sheinberg
My great grandfather was Iosha (Joshua?) Sheinberg, and he apparently took part in the Russian Revolution, although I have found no proof of it. He was probably from Moscow.
