Tony: I am not african american, but obviously am a Ryalls (2 "L's"). Not sure where you are, but I happened to be in Philly and saw a Kenneth Ryals on the front page of the Journal Inquirer carrying a Christmas tree on Broad Street. Realize your message was back in June, but thought you might want to know there are evidently Ryals of African American descent in Philadelphia.

Re: African-American Ryals
My gggrandmother's name was Dicey Ryals who married Henry Morris in Barbour County Alabama around 1865. Would appreciate all info regarding slave owners and immediate family.

Re: African-American Ryals
Interesting - my grandmother-in-law is Lula Mae Hardaway, daughter of Noble Hardaway & Mary Ellie Pitts, of Eufaula, Barbour County, AL. She also went by Lula Mae Hardaway Morris, as her father's sister, Ilona, married a Morris. Any more information would be wonderful!
