Marvin is pictured in the 1943 yearbook of the 20th Ferrying Group, based at Nashville, Tennessee. Their duty was to transport aircraft from the United States to the Allied front. I'm not kin but thought this might help others researching family.
From the SSDI Albert Ruttenberg 22 APr 1891 - May 1976 lived in Milwaukee, Wi. From the 1930 census index he was living in Chicago and apparently his father was Albert born 1856 and he had a sister or spouse Betty born 1905. There is a Betty Ruttenberg in the SSDI born 8 mar 1899 and died 27 Apr 1993 in the Milwaukee area.

I am searching for an Albert Ruttenberg, born abt 1892, lived in Chicago around 1920 when my mother was born. Albert was listed as the father on my mother's birth certificate (only recently found). She was illegitimate, and we have been searching for her father. If you know of an albert ruttenberg, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thank you.

This surname has me totally confused. I find the Ruttenberg's in Mich. in the early census, saying that they were born in Sweden. In subsequent censuses they all say that they were born in Russia. Totally confused.
Alicia
