I live in Sligo Ireland.
Are you still looking for the Irish connection of the Rushforths.? I have information of this section of the family. My brother-in-Law Gabriel Finan's grandfather George Rushforth was a brother of your grandfather Henry. Henry was one of 14 children born to John Rushforth ,a gamekeeper on the Rockingham Estate,Boyle Co.Roscommon Ireland. The Rushforth family lived in the gamekeeper's lodge(Oakport House). John was born in Cheshire UK. His father was also a gamekeeper. John married Mary Ann Woods in Wales. Circa 1881 the family moved to Ireland. 2 children William and Prudence died young. Of the 12 remaining ,Henry and 4 of his siblings emigrated to Canada. Four emigrated to New York. Charles was a World War 1 casualty. He is buried in France. Frederick and John remained in Ireland and are buried in Ardcarne Cemetry Boyle,Co Roscommon with their parents John (died 1931) Mary ( died 1930)
