That is what I thought. I have been trying to prove that that same Ross Runyon who married Musa Morrison later married Delia.
By any chance did any family stories about Ross' childhood make their way down to you? I have been trying for years to prove what happened to his father Silas. The family story is he died the same year as his wife, but while there is plenty of evidence for his wife's death, there is none for Silas.

I have a record in my tree for Allie Runyon who was born around 1895 in KY. Married Charley Bailey in 1911 in WV. They had 6 kids. I am trying to find information on her parents and siblings. I see a lot of trees with her name as Alifair or Allifair but the DOBs are always all different on everyones trees so I am hoping for some actual proof that this is the same person.

John David Runyon/Richard Runyon/Henry Gussler

I am looking for information on my great great grandmother (Frances) Caroline Hammons Runyon. She was married to John David Runyon (born in Pulaski County) in Giles County & was the daughter of Reverend James Hammons & his wife Susannah Patterson Hammons. She died during the war & John David remarried but I do not know where she is buried. John was killed in action near Winchester in 1864 & is buried there. His brother Richard Runyon & his brother in law Henry Gussler were in the Battle of Cloyds Farm/Mountain. They were part of the 60th Virginia, Co. H. Henry was killed during battle & Richard died a few weeks later. Does anyone know where they might be buried? I have not been able to find these 3 graves. Also, I am trying to learn more about John David & Richard & perhaps (my dream) find a photograph. Thank you in advance for help/suggestions.

My cousin confirmed it with it me that Margie & Ruthie are still alive as of March 6, 2015. Margie lives in Florida and Ruthie lives in Oregon. Rutie is age 93 and Margie is age 95.

My father Was Thomas Alexander Telatco and his mother was Mildred Violet Runyon Telatco
( my Grandmother). She was one of the 14 children. Runyon born June 25, 1928 died April 3, 1999

Kathleen H. Mcguire Runyon's siblings were Marie Mcguire, Edward McGuire, Jack McGuire & Marion McGuire, Their mother died when she was very young and their Aunt raised the children in Canada, This information comes from what my father has documented in his scrap books.

Wilma Runyon Siler married her 1st cousin John McGuire ( her mother's brothers son) and they had a son together named Raymond whom died in his 40's. They lived in Rochester, NY. She later divorced John McGuire and married Earl R. Siler. Wilma was a great artist. she and Earl moved to Mohave County, Arizona and she painted in oils for many years and even sold some of her paintings.

Ruthie Runyon married & divorced Robert T. She married Daniel Steven Ozdowski and has children named Bobbie, Laurie, Mike & Marsha. I might be missing another child but i'm not sure, Murphy's son Mike Ozdowski ( Sept 24, 1955) played on the Baltimore Colts National Football Team from 1978-1981. Murphy was born Nov 6, 1930 and died Nov 27, 1998.

Elmer Runyon and Becky ? had two children named "Cabby" & "Cookie". Elmer eventually moved to TN.

Edith Runyon Mitchell's children are Edith June, Jeannie, Clair (Clairy) & Raymond. Their is another daughter named Joyce i think. She is the oldest.

Walter's wife was named Margaret ( Margie Kehoe) and they have three children named Wally Edward Runyon Jr, (born Feb 6, 1944 -Oct 1973 ) , Cathy & Dawn.

William Runyon's children are William R. They had no children. Margie is the only one left out of the 14 children that is still living. Margie & her sister Mildred married brothers. Margie married Howard Adler and Mildred married Alexander Telatco. Alex and Howard were brothers but Howard changed his last name from Telatco to Adler after his step father.

Mildred Violet Runyon Telatco & Alexander George Telatco's children are : Margaret ( Margie) Telatco Rubsam born Jan 18, 1936, June Telatco Waller ( March 5, 1937- July 6, 1995), and my father Thomas Alexander Telatco ( born Nov 24, 1940- Dec 26, 2011).

This information is all based on what my father had written in his scrap books. I know he was a Hugeonot, but I thought the family emigrated to Canada. There is a city just outside Montreal called Boucherville. The city has a lot about the bouechers in their history.

Also, during future immigrations southward, the name changed. By the time they got to Kentucky, they were named Butcher.

The Boutcher family founded the first Baptist church in America.
I have a very poor quality photo that was shared with me by Charles V. Runyon before his death in 2011. I cannot find it posted anywhere else so decided to share it. Children of Philip and Elizabeth pictured are daughter Laura, and sons Renaldo, John, Jim and Resin, George and Charley with their mother. If anyone has a better copy, I would love to see it. The names were on it when I received it, but I wrote in possible dates. Elizabeth died in 1901.
Nancy Smith

Parents of Rachel Ann Runyon (1789-1863)

Does anyone know who Rachel Ann's parents were?

My wife is descended from Rachel Ann Runyon and Nicholas Sedam through their daughter Eleanor.

My 5G grandparents were John G Runyon (1761-1840) son of Isaac Runyon and Charity (Geertje) Hegeman. I am trying to connect our Runyon lines. I have seen at least one family tree where Rachel Ann and John G are siblings but I know of no documented evidence to support this.

Re: John David Runyon 60th VA, Co. H-2

John Runyon Sr. is my ggg-grandfather. I'm descended from his son John Jr. and his son Frank Runion. I don't believe the 60th Virginia was at Gettysburg. They are listed as fighting in the Seven Days Battle (Richmond), The Battle of Piedmont Valley, the Campaigns of 1864 (Shenandoah Valley and western Va.) and were disbanded at the Battle of Waynesboro. They served under Stonewall Jackson (Cedar Mountain) and then under Col. McCausland. They from John Runyon's war record, it looks like a Capt. McDonald was his immediate officer. You are correct that Richard Runyon was killed as a result of the fighting at Cloyd's Mountain. I looked up some info some time ago that indicated that Richard was wounded in that battle and died several weeks later. Other information I found said he was in Emory & Henry Hospital and was buried in Emory, Va. Richard and John were both widowers apparently. Not sure who raised their children after the war.
Like you, I would like to find a photo of John Sr., but have so far been unsuccessful. I did find a photo of John Runion Jr. that someone had posted. I have been to a couple of Runion reunions down near Pearisburg, but I don't recall anyone displaying a photo of John Sr. I found quite a bit of history on the 60th Va. by doing a google search on the unit. You can try this link : http://www.60thvirginiainfantryregiment.com/
Hope some of this helps.

ADDISON DAVID RUNYON, LAWRENCE RUNYON, CAROL RUNYON

Would love to be able to contact these descendants of my great granddaddy's favorite niece. David Runion(s)/Runyon was born in Moorefield, WV to Inez Elizabeth Herbaugh and Harry Solomon Runion(s). When David was born July 1928 the name was eventually changed to Runyon, Harry was the only one of several siblings who changed the spelling of his name. David wound up in St. Louis, Mo. circ 1950? I have been told his first wife's name was Juanita and she was from that area. He was married to Sylvia HOuston when he was killed May 1975 by an auto after his car broke down on the highway in IL. He is buried in Fairview Heights Cemetery in IL.
In 1960 when his mother died he was living in St. Louis and had two children: Lawrence and Carol. Inez was the only child of my g. gf's twin sister. David was also an only child.
Sure would appreciate any leads to this family. Thank you, s
John David Runyon 60th VA, Co. H-2

Greetings! I will be visiting Gettysburg in July for an educational seminar & I was hoping to work some amily research into my trip. I'll be driving through VA on my way to PA. My great-great grandfather John David Runyon served in the 60th Virginia Company H (the 2nd version of company h from Mercer County) as did his brother Richard Runyon & his brother in law Henry Gunnsler. All 3 perished. I have visited John's grave in Winchester but I am not sure where the others are laid to rest. John died in Winchester & the others at Cloyds Farm. Was the 60th VA Co. H-2 at Gettysburg? Where else might I look to find out more about them & perhapps (my dream!) find a photograph of John? How do I know who his commander was? All help, suggestions or ideas are appreciated. Thank you!

As far as I know their mother and their sister Hannah (also widowed at Cloyds Mountain when her spouse Henry Gussler was KIA) took most of the children left after John David and Richards deaths to Kentucky where my great grandfather (James Stephen, John David Sr.son) lived for the remainder of his life. The youngest stayed with his mother (the 2nd wife Mary Jane Privott), My great great grandmother (Francis "Caroline" Hammans Runyon) died before the war. My great grandfather lived in Ashland Kentucky near his brother Brown, My grandfather Louis Carl Runyon was born there.

I just recently started doing research on my family and have traced my roots to John Boutcher and Jeanne Cleves. Would be very interested in the information you alluded to, if you are still checking. Please email me if you can. Kristenerdman@hotmail.com.

The best I can tell you is that I am Etta's great-grandson through her 6th child, Michael - and that our branch of the family at least spells its name "Purcell".

I am researching the tree for my boyfriend and have traced him all the way to Vincent Rongnion as a direct line. I would love to see the 40 pages and help fill in MANY gaps because his immediate family now is huge! I have lots of info I could share from there down and even some who seem to have fallen off the family tree the further down you get! I have pictures of quite a few graves as well. He is a Runion in WV. My email is coryfrasco@yahoo.com I will respond to any email I get about this! Before I started he only knew his great grandfather's name!

Martha Runyon, b.1810, Reading, PA. Marriages? Wilson? Dardine?

I have a 3xg-grandfather James Dardine, d. 1857 Phila. His wife Martha died 1886. Their daughter Emily Dardine Young Woolmer died 1911, and Emily's death certificate lists her mother as Martha Wilson. However, Martha's own obituary in Phila. Inquirer, 1886, states she is the daughter of Robert Runyon of Reading, PA. Martha's age in several PA censuses provides for a birth date of 1810 or 1811.
I have located information and a family tree for Robert Runyon (1775-1824) and his children, including Martha born. 4/5/1810, Reading.
Does anyone have information on Martha Runyon and her marriage or marriages?

Jeff Mingle
