Hi, I am been trying to find Anastasia Stelmach history. My great-grandmother was born in 1849 to Jacob and Christina in Opole Poland. Married John Wrona. Their son Ignacy Wrona came to the US from Blizne. I believe the information is correct, at least I hope so. It is so very hard to find anymore information on them. Could we have the same Anastasia Stelmach. If so, Anastasia had to be really old when she came here. She also had several other children.
Thank you for your time.

Rudyk cousins of Stelmach - Austria/Ukraine to Pennsylvania

Looking for any RUDYK who is a cousin to a STELMACH. I found two Rudyk females, whose first names are illegible, coming to the USA in 1910 aboard the S.S. Necktar out of Bremen... with my great aunt Anastasia Stelmach. Anastasia's destination is her brother Joseph Stelmach in Ford City, Armstrong county, Pennsylvania. The Rudyk girls are going there too, to "cousin" Joseph Stelmach's.

1st girl is age 20 (abt. 1890), father is Iwan Rudyk.
2nd girl is age 19 (abt. 1891), father is Iahob? (think it is Jacob) Rudyk.

All three girls were born in Sosnov/Sosnow, Galicia, Austria (Ukraine), where my family comes from.

Are there any of these RUDYK family out there? Thanks.

Michael Rudyk

15 August 1927 Evening News of the Tonawandas
Man, Struck By High Speed Trolley, Dies of Injuries
Michael Rudyk, 55 Sixth Avenue, Hit on Viaduct at Guideboard Road at 11 O'clock Last Night - Coroner Helwig Will Conduct Investigation
Michael Rudyk, 55 years old, 55 Sixth avenue, died at the DeGraff Memorial hospital at 11 o'clock last night from injuries received a half an hour before when he was struck by a northbound Niagara Falls high speed car as he was walking across the viaduct over the Guideboard road. His skull was fractured, his right leg broken in several places and numerous cuts and bruises sustained.
The Tonawanda police received a call a few minutes after the accident and Patrolmen Charles Andres and John Alarie went to the scene of the accident and removed the man to the hospital in the patrol automobile. Rudyk died on the operating table before the physicians called to attend him had an opportunity to attempt to save his life.
Rudyk, who boarded at 7 Fifith avenue until going to live at the Sixth avenue address, left his boarding house yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock saying that he was going to Niagara Falls to visit friends. That was the last seen of him until he was identified by friends at Wattengel's undertaking rooms on Oliver street this morning.
The police expressed the belief that Rudyk fell asleep while returning from the Falls on a high speed car and was carried beyond the Guideboard road before he awoke and learned that he had passed his station. Walking back along the track, they believe that the man was unaware of his danger until the trolley car was upon him. This belief is based on the reports of the motorman that Rudyk appeared to make no attempt to get out of the path of the car. The car hurled him against the side of the viaduct.
Rudyk has a wife living in Poland. Coroner J. E. Helwig took charge of the case and will conduct an investigation.
