WALLINGFORD - Elsa Ann Rudolphi Horta, 89, of Wallingford, Connecticut, beloved wife of Antone Horta, departed this life on Monday, Aug. 8, 2011 at MidState Medical Center after a brief illness.
Elsie was born in Bridgewater, Mass., Jan. 23, 1922 daughter of the late Pasquale and Emma Carlotti Rudolphi.
She was a secretary for Allegheny Ludlum until her retirement.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Rita Smith and her husband, Cletis of South Carollina, David Horta and his wife, Rhonda of South Carolina and Patricia Drouin and her husband, Joseph of Wallingford; four sisters, Stella Wagner of Bridgewater, Mass., Alma Cordeiro of Raynham, Mass., Marguerite Machado of Taunton, Mass., and Louise Hubachek, of Arizona; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, Louis Rudolphi; and two grandchildren, Kimberly Zions and John David Horta.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, Aug. 12 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Road.
Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
