Seeking information and documentation on Zara Rude/Rood, b. 3 Jan 1794 in Norwich, reportedly the son of John Rude/Rood (b. approx 1768 in CT/MA married to Deborah Dunbar also of CT/MA. Zara married Elizabeth Patch, in around 1817 in Easthampton or Norwich. I come down by way of his daughter, Alivia b. 8 Ap. 1825 probably in Norwich, who married Ira Miller. I can only find Zara on the 1830 Norwich MA census(RUDE) and the 1820 census (as ROOD), and can locate nothing else in the way of proofs or documentation.
It is difficult locating primary information from my home in Calif. and I need assistance. Looking for any scraps of information including occupation, religious details, military info, stories/legends/scandals (yes I know about Thomas Rood), legal interactions, land records, etc. etc. just the usual EVERYTHING....that all those with this disease crave........
.....above all proofs and documentions. I have not been able to firmly document his relationship to John and Deborah either. HELP!! Thanks for anything whatsoever including clues and speculations. I'll be a bit greedy here and request the same laundry list on John and Deborah if anyone has it????
John's father was John Rude/Rood b. 1720 mother was Elizabeth Freeman....His father was Jacob Rude/Rood 1693 m. Jemima Parke....His father John was the legitimate son of Thomas the incestuous (what a poignant story).
Thank you very very much,
Ed Stump
