While doing family research I came across the grave of Alesandro Rubacchi, d.1914. It is such an unusual name in the western NC mountains I began to wonder where he came from, and why he would have been here. No other family of the same name are buried anywhere in this county that I can find, and I wondered if Rubacchi were related in some way to Rubach. It sounds so much the same to my ear that I thought maybe Rubach was a shortened version of Rubacchi. If you have any info. please satisfy my curiosity. He seems so lonely there all by himself. Thanks. Debra
