On 1/1/1860 George Rub b. 1846; Michael Rub b. 1852; Henry Rub b 1847; and Salome' Rub b 1848 applied for a passport in Reitchwiller, Alasce (France) to come to America. George Rub m Lena Dreisler 1/21/1869; Michael Rub m Salome' Stuter 2/24/1875; Henry Rub m Otlelia Eichnoff 10/19/1869 and Salome Rub marred Henry Breyer 1871. Salome moved to Cook County.
There was another George Rub b 1828 in Joliet who came in 1854. He was from Wuettemberg. Does anyone know the relationship between George and the family from Reitchwiller?

George b 1828 came to Joliet, Il with his sister Eva and Dorothea Rub. Dorothea was married to Jacob Hoffer.
Later Eva married Charles Conrad Breyer. After she died her sister Salome married Charles Conrad Breyer.
They came from Retschwiller, France. All the Rub's in Joliet were brothers and sisters. There parents were George Rub b 1804 and Barb Claus b 1806. Barb Claus mother lived with them in Retschwiller. Her name was Eva Cullmann Claus.
Their known children were: George b 1828; Barb 1830; Madelina 1832; Dorothea 1834; Eva 1836; Henry 1847; Michael 1848; and Salome b 1848.
