I couldn't believe there wasn't a post about the Mercer Rosengartens...Knowthere are more than a few descendants and researchers out there.

Ill go first:
Louis Peter Rosengarten is my third great grandfather: he and his first wife Mary Forsthoefel had 4 children; Mary Catherine, John Henry, Frank Anton, and John Frederick.

My Great great grandfather was the 3rd child, Frank Anton Rosengarten, b. 30 Mar 1886, Carthegena, Ohio. Frank went from Mercer County to Dayton between 1911 and 1920. He married Mary Wiedman in Mercer County, 17 October 1911.
They had two daughters; Mabel and Helen. He died prematurely, 20 Apr 1935, age 49, of cancer,in Dayton.

My great grandmother, Mabel Rosengarten was born 03 Apr 1913, during the great flood, in Versailles, Ohio, where her parents had fled to escape the floodwaters. Otherwise, she spent her entire life in Dayton. She married Harry C. Snyder, Jr. in Dayton. They had 3 children, Sandy, Judy, and Gary. She died in 1997.

My Grandmother is Sandy, who first married William R. Hieber. They had 3 children, Judy, William, and Michael.

My mother is Judy.

Mt grandmother was told Louis Peter Rosengarten was the childof Jacob Rosengarten and Maria Catherine Berger. Anyone else heard this?
