My father is Robert Rosengarten from NY. He died around 1974.

I believe that my family bought a passport to come over to the US and that Rosengarten isn't our 'real' last name. I'd like to trace back my lineage to make sure. I know my family originally comes from Russia and was 'Cohanim' or Jewish Gentry. But its all a bit unclear.
