In my previous post "Neighbors of Jesse and Obedience ROPER Expressly Identified in the Lancaster Deeds" (24 Aug 2015 7:54PM GMT ), I summarized the neighbors of Jesse and Obedience ROPER explicitly identified as neighbors within the extatnt ROPER Lancaster deeds.
Identification as a WITNESS to a deed involving these properties implicitly is suggestive that the witness may have lived nearby. In this post, I separately summarize the witnesses to the Lancaster deeds Susan has transcribed:

These two witnesses are probably distinguishable from the others, since Adam Fowler BRISBANE is KNOWN to have resided in Camden, SC, and was NOT resident at the location of the land he sold.

The most frequently appearing surname is WRENN. Jesse ROPER sold a parcel of his land to George WRENN on 24 May 1792. One WRENN is named Jesse, introducing the bare possiblity that George WRENN of some other nearby WRENN might have intermarried with a member of Jesse ROPER's family (e.g. - a daughter) and and named a child for Jesse ROPER.

Each of these neighbors is probably also the subject of further Lancaster deeds, probate records and other court records which might include one of more witnesses or neighbors NOT expressly mentioned in the cited deeds.
Also, more precise identification of the neighbors is helpful in identifying the precise location of Jesse ROPER's parcel. As I will show in a forthcoming post, the identities are also helpful in distinguishing the location and orientation of Jesse ROPER's property in respect of the state boundary.
