Perhaps I am missing something here or misread one or more of your posts, but I didn't understand that there was a second Will DATED 1795. I understood that there was a second Will presented for probate in Mecklenburg, NC, in 1795. The ABSTRACT which you posted in the original post in this thread seemed to say:
"WALTER (X) ASHMORE. 11 Aug 1795. Prb of this will was revoked in the Oct 1798 session of Ct. Being very sick and weak in body, I will to MY WF HANNAH my whole estate except for my clothes. Sole extrx: MY WF HANNAH. Wit: RICHARD, BENJAMIN, and JAMES FINCHER."
You seem to have read this record to say that a will DATED 11 Aug 1795 was revoked. I read the entry to mean that a Will accepted for probate on the 11 Aug 1795 date was revoked.
