She married Samuel Rolfe, son of Joseph Rolfe, on 16 Jan 1861 in Forest Grove, Washington, OR. He was born in 1840 in Genesee County, MI and died 5 Jul 1908 in Beaverton.

Samuel Rolfe left his home in MI and came to Oregon with the McCling family, arriving in 1861. He lived with the McCling family for the 1850 census of Gilcad, Branch, MI, when he was 10 years of age.

Samuel Rolfe and Susannah Porter were divorced before 1870. Susannah and her son, Lincoln, were living with her parents in the 1870 census and Susannah with her mother in the 1880 census.
