I see this is an old post, but thought I'd reply anyway. The migration pattern of your Rolphs is very similar to mine:
David D. Rolph b. 1807 NJ m. Lonely Mushrush 1827 in Crawford, PA; d. 1834 PA.
Son David A. Rolph b. 1830 NJ or PA, m. Elizabeth Gilliland; lived in MN and NE; d. Albion, NE 1880.
Do any of these names sound familiar?
