Is there any chance that he was related to JAMES ROLFE thought to originate in Scotland,who married Irene (__) could be any name, even "born in IREland". Seafarer/captain, brought up their son VICTOR IMMANUEL ROLFE ( or Victor Emmanuel Rolfe) born 1879, on board after wife died in Philadelphia. Am trying to confirm PA burial of James and wife Rolfe.
Victor Immanuel Rolphe stated on 1920 census in Grand Rapids, Michigan that he was born in Scotland, immigrated 1902, naturalized 1905. Married Hazel Jenny Smith d/o Herbert Merrill Smith and Ada Mae Foe in 1916, divorced 1926, died about 1934. Known Children: Kenneth Charles Rolfe b. 1917 and Jean b. 1922. Lived his adult life in Michigan area. He may have had a second family.
