I am looking to see if I have correct information on Arch C. Roden that was in the 27th Alasobama Infantry and died as a PW at Camp Douglas IL...the LCA has him listed as Arch Roten...he was married first to my Great Grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Freeman, the daughter Clarissa J. Roden Canup has her listed as a "Freemore" on her death certificate. Arch and Mary E. had three children from the records that I have found...one I can find no information on, the first born I guess a J. Roden, the Clarissa J. Roden, and last a son Arch Roden....I have pictures of them all some are family specific and some from LCA archives in Moulton Alabama. It is quite interesting that Arch the first husband of Mary E. Freeman, and my Great Grandfather James M. Randolph the second husband of Mary were both in the same unit in the Civil War, also Mary E. father Johnson R. Freeman, and two brother's in law were also in the same unit. I have picture of Clarissa (Roden) and John Lawrence Canup's family, also what I think to be the family or Arch the son Roden and Sally Kirby, I am mainly looking for information to confirm what I feel is pretty solid information and am trying to find out where Mary Elizabeth Freeman Roden Randolph is buried. My thoughts are in Ferguson Cemetery in Hatton Alabama. In addition to the Roden information when Mary and JM Randolph were married they had 5 additional Randolph children which I am a descendant from...I am also looking for information on the two oldest daughters Mary and Susan Randolph of that family...any information would greatly be appreciated, and I am willing to share any pictures copies and other information that I have....thanks for any information that is provided.
