Looking for information on the death of Joel C Robinson (b. abt 1820 CT/OH[?] - d. between 1836 and 1846, near Louisville KY.) He was married to Lucy Ellis Beach.

Joel C is my 3rd great grandfather

A short statement in the THE ILLINOIS STATE HISTORICAL SOCIETY, VOL. 9 APRIL, 1916 NO. 1, pg 65 - Chapter: Early Settlement of Walnut Grove: By WILLIAM EPLER. states: ""... Joel C. Robinson taught [at Walnut Grove school] in 1835 and 1836, afterwards going to Kentucky near Louisville, where in an altercation with a student was shot and killed."

Does anyone know of any source(s)to find obits, wills, probates from this time period in Kentucky??
